Infertility Evaluation

Our expert staff will review your medical history, ask the right questions and order the right tests. Infertility can be caused by many different factors (blocked tubes, male factor infertility, advanced maternal age, etc). For this reason, we believe it is important to evaluate clients individually and perform appropriate testing for all parties involved before initiating treatment.

Infertility Treatment

We offer a wide range of infertility treatment options to best suit your needs in your Personal Plan of Care. These services can include natural cycle monitoring, ovulation induction, super-ovulation and intrauterine (artificial) insemination.

In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

Should you progress in your journey to IVF, you can now receive IVF services at Northern Reproductive Therapies. We will see you through the initial consultations, orientations, training, counselling and cycle monitoring in our office in Newmarket. Once you are ready for egg retrieval and embryo transfer you will then be referred to the IVF centre that is affiliated with your Northern Reproductive Therapies physician for these procedures.

IVF Cycle Monitoring

If you require IVF treatment and are currently commuting to an IVF centre in Toronto or the GTA, you now have another option. We will work closely with the medical staff at your IVF centre to ensure that you are properly monitored during the cycle monitoring phase of your IVF cycle. Once you are ready for egg retrieval and embryo transfer you will then go to your IVF centre for these procedures. The time saved and the added convenience will lessen your stress, which is one of our main goals.

Third Party Reproductive Services

Northern Reproductive Therapies is uniquely positioned to assist you with your third party reproductive needs. Outreach Health Services, a national distributor of sperm donor products, is a sister company to Northern Reproductive Therapies and shares a common head office. Third party reproductive services include sperm donor selection and therapeutic donor insemination. Northern Reproductive Therapies is also able to cryopreserve (freeze) and store sperm and embryos, so that you can choose when the time is right for conception.

Infertility Counselling

The diagnosis of infertility and the decision to pursue treatment can lead to many questions and emotions. Let us help give you back a sense of control over your fertility journey. As an essential component of your overall Personal Plan of Care, our reproductive health counsellors will help you during the process, working with you through the mental and emotional aspects of treatment.

Mind/Body Program™

The power of your body to heal itself and to rejuvenate your well being is well documented. We are pleased to offer the Mind/Body Program™ by Alice Domar, PhD. Additional services include nutritional counseling, acupuncture, yoga and seminars/workshops on stress relief.

Fertility Preservation

Modern technology now makes it possible for both men and women to preserve their fertility potential for the future. The most common reasons for fertility preservation are to plan in advance of cancer treatment or vasectomy, to plan in consideration of high-risk occupations, and to delay childbearing. The preferred techniques for fertility preservation are sperm freezing and embryo freezing.

Gamete Cryopreservation and Storage

For therapeutic treatment reasons, you may wish to freeze and preserve sperm or to store embryos. Northern Reproductive Therapies provides these services and stores all tissues on site in our “state of the art” laboratory facilities. All samples are monitored daily and are kept safe with a modern twenty-four hour a day (24/7) security system.
